Our Mudra

Mudra

Mudra

The word “Mudra” means gesture or seal. These hand positions help us influence the flow of energy within the body and support a calmer, more focused mind. At Prana Rehabilitation Centre, we guide you to understand and practice Mudras, which are simple hand gestures used in yoga and meditation to support healing, balance energy, and improve both physical and mental well-being.

We follow the concept of Pancha Bhutas (five elements), which are believed to exist in each finger:

• Thumb – Fire (energy and digestion)
• Index Finger – Air (movement and breathing)
• Middle Finger – Space (clarity and balance)
• Ring Finger – Earth (stability and strength)
• Little Finger – Water (emotions and flow)

When you join different fingers together in specific ways, we help you balance these elements within your body. This supports relaxation, improves focus, and promotes natural healing. In yogic practice, there are over 78 Mudras, each designed for different health and wellness benefits.

Best Time We Recommend for Practice

• In the early morning for a calm and focused start
• During meditation or relaxation sessions
• Preferably on an empty stomach for better effect

Duration of Practice

• For beginners: 10–15 minutes daily
• Gradually increased up to 30–45 minutes, based on your comfort and condition

Benefits You Experience

• Reduce stress, anxiety, and mental tension
• Improve concentration and mental clarity
• Support better breathing and circulation
• Balance body energy and improve overall vitality
• Enhance mind–body coordination and emotional stability
• Promote deep relaxation and inner calm

At Prana Rehabilitation Centre, we include Mudras as a simple yet powerful part of your healing journey, helping you restore balance, improve focus, and support overall wellness in a natural way.
